Transitions® Lenses
Transitions® lenses are adaptive lenses that automatically adjust from clear to dark through activation from UV light. These lenses are available for both Single Vision and Progressive prescriptions.
How they work
UV light activates the lens technology to transform the lenses from clear to dark, and a range of tint in-between. The lenses are fully clear indoors and at night, and they block 100% of UVA and UVB rays even when not activated. If you spend a lot of time driving, you may want to keep a pair of sunglasses in the car. Car windshields have UV protection and block the UV needed to activate the Transitions® lenses we offer in the car.
Protection for all ages
According to the Vision Council, children “receive more annual sun exposure than adults because many of their activities are outdoor-based... this exposure to sunlight also increases children's exposure to damaging UV light.” As children are constantly moving between indoor and outdoor settings, it is never too early to start protecting their eyes from harmful UV rays.

With their adaptability into any pair of glasses frames, Transitions® lenses will have you covered for any time of day. Transitions® lenses can be added to any pair of glasses, so select any designer frame, enter your prescription and, when selecting the lens type, choose Transitions®.
